Sports coaches
On request a renowned sports coach can be involved in training sessions and master classes. I regularly collaborate with Gerard Kemkers, Bart Veldkamp and Ron Zwerver. Their exceptional experience always gives the training an added value. Hearing their stories also helps for a better understanding and assimilation of knowledge and insights.
In addition should they be involved in the “Play to Win” and leadership training or master class, they can also be involved in your team building with an active sports element led by them. This attractive addition is available upon express request and will let participants literally play together.
During the Olympic games in Calgary in 1988, Gerard Kemkers won the 5km speed skating bronze medal. After his active career, Gerard became a very successful trainer/coach. In 2002 he was appointed as the head coach of the professional TVM-team and under his supervision Ireen Wüst and Sven Kramer trained to become unique champions both with an impressive roll of honours. Gerard is characterised by his passion and intensity, he always wants to get the best out of himself and his athletes. Today he is manager of the Performance Centre at soccer club FC Groningen.
In 1996 in an unbelievably exciting Olympic final against Italy, Ron Zwerver, as a member of the Dutch volleyball team, finally won gold medal in Atlanta. Four years earlier in Barcelona, after losing the final against Brazil, he had to be satisfied with silver. Ron is a pure sang team athlete, totally committed to the group established goals. He knows from experience what it means to set very challenging team goals and what hurdles a team has to jump in order to give its very best performance. For many years now, he transmits this knowledge to young talents, at the moment as assistant-coach for the Dutch men’s volleyball team.
Bart Veldkamp became Olympic 10km speed skating champion at the 1992 games in Albertville. Two years later in Lillehammer, he won bronze medal for the same distance and later bronze medal again, but this time for 5km in Nagano 1998. Since 2006, Bart trained to be coach, manager and entrepreneur. With great perseverance he composed the international Team Stressless with well-known team members Brittany Bowe, Bart Swings and Jan Blokhuijsen. Thanks to his contagious enthusiasm, he set about developing and marketing a healthy nutrition bar, known as Bart’s Bar.
