I live in Barcelona and work internationally. Some time ago, Spain was far away from Northern Europe. These days catching a plane from Barcelona to London, Amsterdam or Munich hardly takes much time and is often quicker than driving a couple of hundreds kilometres/miles to these same cities by car. Although there is nothing more pleasant than a personal meeting, on many occasions Skype and FaceTime will suffice for effective information exchange.
